Digital Media Project Coordinator & Designer

 

With oversight from the Director of Digital Media, this position will coordinate various projects including the design and development of Sosland’s websites, newsletters, and other digital products in collaboration with ePublishing. Responsibilities include the administration and end-user support of the ePublishing CMS. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the design and development of Sosland Publishing’s landing pages, web forms, HTML email, custom publishing digital products (i.e., microsites), and other digital products required to support our audiences’ online experience. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively coordinate multiple projects, communicate, work well with co-workers and suppliers and has a strong understanding of both graphic design and front-end programming.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Coordinator:

• Coordinate project tasks related to the design and development of Sosland’s various websites, microsites, newsletters, and other digital products

• Administration of ePublishing’s content management system for our websites and newsletters

• Serve as a vendor interface on projects, helping to define vision, clarifying strategic requirements, explaining complex ideas clearly, and managing expectations

• Lead project life cycle including goals, deliverables, timelines, creative development and technical development, ensuring successful completion of all project phases

• Provide status updates and manage timelines to ensure all deadlines are maintained

 

Designer:

• Design and build innovative user experiences utilizing programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript according to specifications that meet current coding standards and cross-browser compatibilities

• Develop and present wireframes and designs to internal and external customers

• Collaborate with the Digital Media team and other stakeholders to define project specifications and offer creative solutions

• Comprehensively test development projects on varying devices, browsers, and applications

• Support initiatives to explore and expand video and podcast editing

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field

• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills

• High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress

• Strong knowledge of web standards, with at least 2 years of web design and front-end development experience using languages such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Understand differences between delivery platforms (such as mobile vs. desktop) and optimize output to match the specific platform

Sales Representative:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and persuasive Sales Representative to engage and develop new business relationships. The Sales Representative’s role is to increase brand recognition and generate revenue through print and digital advertising sales while meeting the diversified marketing needs of our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of each publication, it’s audience and the industry it supports

• Identify and establish new advertisers, cultivate long-standing relationships

• Utilize an investigative communication style to learn how our solutions could improve the client’s business

• Prepare professional proposals using MS PowerPoint

• Close deals

• Complete accurate and timely insertion orders for the ad coordination team and the customer

• Provide continuous follow up and customer service

• Provide activity and progress reports to management

Audience Development Analyst:

 

This mid-level position supports the enrichment and growth of the controlled circulation and subscriber database for Sosland publications. This newly created role will analyze current audience and demographic data for accuracy and quality, source qualified growth opportunities and provide actionable insights for enhanced data collection procedures.  In addition, this position will assist the departmental efforts in fulfillment and distribution, audits, customer service and reporting.

• Strong subscriber/member database management and MS Excel skills

• Dynamic ability to source, compile, analyze and present data in an impactful and meaningful format

Education and Experience

Advertising Coordinator:

 

The Advertising Coordinator works closely with the Sales Representatives and Publishers to ensure accurate processing of print and digital advertising order programs.  All pertinent data is entered for tracking, ad placement, scheduling and internal documentation. The Advertising Coordinator also works with clients and advertising agencies to collect advertising material.

 

Responsibilities:

• Collect and enter ad orders along with confirming and supporting documents

• Ensure all billing information is accurate

• Contact clients, agencies and/or sales reps to secure current ad materials for all orders

• Accurately document any special request or instructions

• Review planned ad placement prior to final production

• Run sales and advertising reports as requested

The ideal candidate:

• Team player and customer service focused

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills

• Creative problem-solving skills

• Deadline driven

 

Education and Experience:

• 2 years administrative experience

• Proficient in MS Office programs

• Some college coursework preferred
